It would be helpful to know if this is in a call center or not. We have called our executive relations group by the name of customer relations executive in the past. If this is the type of job you are going for then you can get expect to get escalations where the customer is calling in to speak with someone at the corporate office. It could be the President, CEO, or other executive. The customer rarely if ever actually talk to these individuals. Instead, this team is responsible for handling those calls and helping the customer resolve their issue. These calls generally come in only after something in your customer service organization has failed. Typical questions will surround situations and how you would or have handled them in the past. You can expect a question like "tell me about a time when you had a difficult customer and how you handled it", "Tell me about a time that you had a customer and you did not handle it as well as you should have", "Tell me about a time when you identified and fixed an issue so that it was no longer an issue for any customer". If the job is higher level than being in a call center the questions will be similar in nature but looking for you identifying issues, finding solutions and cost savings. Good Luck on the interview.

There are so many 'standard' questions that you are wise to prepare. However, no one can really predict the exact questions you'll get. What you can predict is that all prospective employers want to know if you can do the job and if you'll fit in. Most of the time, if you've landed an interview, the prospective employer already believes you could do the job - the interview is required to confirm their opinion and determine if you'd fit into the company culture.

The standard questions to confirm you can do the job and if you fit in all revolve around:

Tell me about yourself

Why do you want this job (or it's variation: why are you the best person for this job)

What strengths do you have that particularly relate to this job

What 'weaknesses' do you have that we should be aware of that relate to the actual job or to the envirornment?

How would you handle (a job related situation, a problem person, a stressful work environment or similar)?

The best way to get ready for an interview is prepare and then prepare some more - at least 3 hours of prep time. Write down a 30 second intro to answer tell me about yourself that focuses on why you want the job and your two relative strengths that are important in the job. Practice so it sounds natural (don't memorize).

Then, write down 5 more of your strengths and 2 Very Specific (key) examples of them. Make sure you spend lots of time here and be very specific and as relevant to the job and work environment as possible. For example, you may be a great team player, but if the job calls for a leader, you don't want to stress something the job doesn't value.

Once you have a bank of strengths with concrete and specific examples, you can use the examples and strengths to answer almost every interview question that comes your way. For example:

Tell me about yourself (Answer: Prepare this 30 second intro and pick out the two biggest strength examples you have)

Why do you want this job (or it's variation: why are you the best person for this job): Answer: I'm the best person for this job and/or I want this job because I can bring - insert two more skills/concrete examples that the employer is looking for.

What strengths do you have that particularly relate to this job - Answer: I can bring several things to this job - one in particular is (insert skill/strength/concrete example) and (repeat).

What 'weaknesses' do you have that we should be aware of that relate to the actual job or to the envirornment? Answer: This is a little tricker but never mention anything that relates to the job. If they are stressing an organized person you don't want to mention you have to struggle to stay organized. Even if you've overcome something, they probably won't hear that you have. Instead, stick to something like: I'm a perfectionist and I tend to push myself very hard - I've had to learn that others work differently and I'm more patient with others than myself.

How would you handle (a job related situation, a problem person, a stressful work environment or similar)? Answer - again, look to your strengths to answer / relate to the question.

If you really know yourself and really think about why you want the job it's much easier to get through an interview rather than trying to memorize canned answers to typical questions. Find a quiet place, grab a pen and paper, the job description, company information and your resume and get busy.

Good Luck.
